The U.S. Dept. of Treasury & IRS have a publication outlining guidelines for establishing health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts and health reimbursement accounts. Check out their online publication for information. Unfortunately, they have not updated it to reflect 2009 guidelines, but it still has valuable information. Refer to the HSA Basics Trifold below for 2009 contribution amounts & insurance specifications for health savings accounts. Visit the U.S. Treasury website for more information.

Provides current contribution amounts, limits, rules, and regulations pertaining to health savings accounts.
Bancorp Bank/Chamber Solutions HSA
We do not represent any banks for HSA accounts or receive commission for endorsing any banks, we only sell and market the qualifying insurance plan. We recommend that you review your options. Carriers will provide literature on the bank they have partnered with, but you do not have to use their bank for the HSA. More banks are now offering HSAs. We suggest you check with your local bank, the bank offered by the insurance carrier, & recommendations from friends and associates. Factors to consider are: is the bank FDIC insured, fees associated with the account, credit/debit card with the account, online banking, insurance/hsa integration of payments, & ease of transactions. We have found Bancorp Bank easy to work, and depending on the set up, no or nominal fees. The Bancorp Bank administers the banking services for Chamber Solutions (see below), so you will see both names on their banking information. The banking services are available to anyone, not just Chamber Solutions members.
Chamber Solutions Employee Benefits
The Herbert Insurance Agency is an authorized agent of Chamber Solutions. We are authorized to sell their insurance benefits to groups that are members of a participating chamber of commerce. Many local chambers are members, such as the HABCC (Hanover Association of Chamber of Commerce). Visit their website and contact us to discuss any benefits that interest your business.
Medicare information provided by IRS.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has a publication outlining benefits for those qualifying for Medicare coverage. This publication is very informative and a good reference tool. However, the options with Medicare are vast and confusing to a lot of people. Please contact us to discuss the options of PDP (prescription drug plans), MA (Medicare advantage plans), or Medicare Supplement Plans.
